LAS VEGAS — UFC Singapore on Saturday was an event to remember for Iridium Sports Agency.
In the Main Event “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung announced his retirement after being defeated by Max Holloway, the No. 1 contender in the UFC featherweight division.
Chan, who entered fight night as the No. 8 contender in the UFC featherweight division, will be remembered as one of its most beloved figures.
Chan’s impeccable resume includes a pair of UFC World Featherweight Championship bouts and eight UFC victories. The nine-time Performance Bonus winner will be remembered for his unrelenting fighting style and affable personality.
Earlier on Saturday’s card, bantamweight Garrett Armfield and welterweight Billy Goff earned the first victories of their UFC careers with first-round TKO victories over Toshiomi Kazama and Yusaku Kinoshita, respectively.
Garrett, a former Fighting Alliance Championship title holder, improved his record to 9-3 record (six knockouts, two submissions). Billy, a former champ with CES MMA and Cage Titans, is now 9-2 with seven wins by KO.
