Top prospect Ben Egli joins Team Iridium and submits a UFC legend in wild first week on The Darkside
CALIFORNIA — It's been a wild week for "Brutal" Ben Egli.
The dynamic Oregonian joined the Team Iridium family last week, and competed Sunday at Submission Underground 12, where he needed just three minutes to submit UFC legend Jake Ellenberger on UFC Fight Pass.
"Getting a big win on the Submission Underground card was just the start I needed with my new team, and the victories will keep coming," says Ben, who boasts a 12-3 record as a professional, with all of his wins coming via stoppage.
"I'm very excited to be signed with Iridium Sports Agency. I've been so close to the highest levels in MMA for so long, and this is the team that's going to take me the rest of the way."
The best part, Ben says with a smile, is that even bigger things and brighter days are on the horizon.
"Against all the odds SUG 12 went down flawlessly, and even though 2020 has been the craziest year in recent history, it won't stop me from showing the world who I am, and how I can fight."
