CALIFORNIA — Youssef Zalal made a major statement on the weekend.
"The Moroccan Devil" returned to the familiar win column with a jaw-dropping, flying-knee KO in the first round of his bout at LFA 79 in Broomfield, Colo., on UFC Fight Pass.
"I felt like, 'Oh (expletive)! It actually landed and I can finish this thing now,' " Youssef, 23, says with a chuckle. "Now that's a great feeling."
Youssef is now 7-2, with all of his wins by stoppage, and poised for a breakout 2020 campaign.
"A year from today, I see myself in the UFC," the factoryX fighter says. "I want to be putting on exciting fights and moving up that ladder."
