CALIFORNIA — Four Team Iridium warriors are suiting up for battle at Bellator 243 on Friday under the bright lights at Mohegan Sun.
Benson “Smooth” Henderson looks to earn his fifth straight victory under the Bellator banner when he meets Michael Chandler in a rematch in the Main Event. Benson and Chandler met in 2016 for the Bellator Lightweight Championship. Benson holds notable victories over Donald Cerrone (two), Frankie Egar (two), Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, among many others.
Top Hawaiian prospect Nainoa “The Baby Faced Assassin” Dung, meanwhile, returns to the Bellator cage for a fourth time against Charlie Campbell. Nainoa is quickly establishing himself as one of the top young fighters in MMA with a number of impressive performances already on the national stage.
“Magic” Mike Hamel makes his Bellator debut against Adam Borics. Mike jumped at the opportunity to accept the bout on short notice last week. The former Division 1 wrestler eyes his eighth victory as pro.
Last but certainly not least, Curtis Millender looks to improve to 2-0 in the Bellator cage against Sabah Homasi. Curtis is also the proud owner of three UFC victories and six knockout wins.
