LAS VEGAS — Iridium Sports Agency client Marlon “Chito” Vera extended his impressive winning streak to four with a brutal KO over Dominick Cruz in the Main Event of UFC San Diego on Saturday.
After dropping his opponent with punches several times earlier in the fight, Marlon delivered a jaw-dropping, head-kick KO over the former UFC champion in the fourth round of their headlining bout.
It was Marlon’s 14th UFC win, upping his overall record to 20-7, with eight wins each by KO and submission.
With the victory – and Marlon’s UFC 268 win over Frankie Edgar – he has now defeated two former UFC champions by KO since November.
Marlon earned a $50,000 Performance Bonus for his efforts on Saturday – the seventh such bonus of his career.
With the KO, Marlon now has more stoppage victories (10) than any other bantamweight in UFC history.
