LAS VEGAS — Iridium Sports Agency client Cesar "Cesinha" Almeida and Kevin "El Gallo Negro" Borjas both earned UFC contracts at the first Contender Series event of the year on Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
César secured his contract after he improved to 4-0 with a unanimous decision over Lucas Fernando in their middleweight showdown. Three of César’s four MMA victories have come by first-round knockout. The hard-hitting Brazilian is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world. His professional kickboxing record is 47-8-1, 1 NC, with 27 of his wins coming by knockout. The former Glory kickboxer has many world titles and Brazilian national championships on his resume. He holds a kickboxing victory over former UFC champion Alex Pereira.
Kevin locked in his UFC offer after climbing to 9-1 with his unanimous decision victory over Victor Dias in the flyweight division. That’s now four straight wins for the Inka FC flyweight champion. The heavy-handed Peruvian has eight wins by KO.
