LAS VEGAS — Iridium Sports Agency clients MarQuel Mederos, Cortavious Romious and Rickson Thai Zenidim will compete for UFC contracts on Dana White’s Contender Series on Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, the final episode of the 2023 campaign.
MarQuel brings a five-fight winning streak into his lightweight showdown with Issa Isakov. His 7-1 record is comprised of five KOs.
Cortavious is 7-1 on the strength of three straight first-round finishes heading into his bantamweight matchup with Ramon Taveras. All but one of Cortavious' wins have come by stoppage (four submissions, two KOs).
Rickson looks to improve to 15-1 against Andre Lima in flyweight action. His record includes 10 wins by submission and a pair of KOs.
Earlier on this season of Contender Series, fellow Team Iridium athletes Cesar Almeida, Danny Barlow, Kevin Borjas, James Llontop, Steven Nguyen, Luis Pajuelo and Zachary Reese earned UFC contracts.
