LAS VEGAS — Iridium Sports Agency clients went 5-for-5 and struck gold at UFC 283 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In the Co-Main Event, Brandon “The Assassin Baby” Moreno earned a third-round TKO victory over Deiveson Figueiredo in their historic fourth UFC matchup to become the undisputed UFC Flyweight Champion.
Brandon, the only Mexican champion in UFC history, improved to 9-3-2 in the UFC’s Octagon, and 21-6-2 overall, with the win. Saturday’s stoppage was the fifth KO of Brandon’s career.
The Bonfim brothers – Gabriel “Marretinha” Bonfim and Ismael “Marreta” Bonfim – both made epic first impressions in their highly anticipated UFC debuts.
Gabriel scored a 49-second submission victory over Mounir Lazzez in their welterweight matchup, and Ismael earned a $50,000 Performance Bonus for his second-round KO over Terrance McKinney in the lightweight division. Gabriel climbed to 14-0, while Ismael upped his record to 19-3 with a 13th straight victory.
Thiago Moises notched his sixth UFC victory with a second-round submission victory over Melquizael Costa in their lightweight bout. That’s now back-to-back UFC victories for Thiago, who improved to 17-6 with the win (6-4 in the UFC).
Cody “The Spartan” Stamann brought home his second straight – and seventh overall – UFC victory against Luan Lucerda in the bantamweight division. Cody is now 7-4-1 in the UFC, and 21-5-1 overall.
