LAS VEGAS — It was a clean sweep for the four Iridium Sports Agency clients competing at UFC Vegas 79 on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Bryan "The Butcher" Battle improved to 5-1 in the UFC with his second straight stoppage victory – a second-round, rear naked choke submission over AJ Fletcher in their welterweight matchup. With the win, the Ultimate Fighter 29 winner upped his overall record to 10-2 (five submissions, three knockouts).
Cody Brundage earned his third UFC victory when his opponent, Jacob Malkoun, was disqualified after repeated illegal blows to the back of Cody’s head in middleweight action. The former Lights Out Championship title holder’s record is now 9-5 (four KOs, three submissions).
Miles "Chapo" Johns climbed to 5-2 in the UFC with his second straight win – a decision over Dan Argueta in the bantamweight division. The former Legacy Fighting Alliance champ’s record is now 14-2 (four knockouts, two submissions).
Montserrat "Monster" Rendon was successful in her highly anticipated UFC debut, earning the decision over Tamires Vidal in women's bantamweight action. Montserrat now sports a spotless 6-0 record.
