LAS VEGAS Way before Iridium Sports Agency had a team of agents across North America and clients around the globe, there were two men at the helm; Jason House and Jeremy Luchau. After more than a decade of working together, The Darkside’s long-standing dynamic duo are going stronger than ever as they close in on signing their 100th client to the UFC’s active roster in 2021. Jeremy and Jason each sat down separately over the holidays to answer the following questions about their counterpart.

How would you describe your relationship with each other in one word?

Luchau: Brothers.

House: Brother.

What's your earliest memory of each other, and how did you begin working together?

House: My earliest memory of Jeremy was him running the Tachi Palace Fights events in 2009. I was just an intern at MMA Agents (laughs).

Luchau: I was promoting at Tachi and he was trying to get athletes on for some time. We finally were able to get a fight put together with one of his guys. The fighter’s team didn’t like being in little ‘ol Lemoore and posted something about it smelling like poop on Facebook. I had to talk with Jason about getting it removed before someone from the tribe saw it. Wasn’t a fun conversation, but funny talking about it now (laughs).

What do you consider each other’s greatest accomplishment professionally? How about outside the fight game?

Luchau: The answer applies to both. Jason has remained loyal and honest; he doesn’t break his balls for nobody.

House: Jeremy’s greatest accomplishment professionally has been his commitment to constant self-improvement so that he can serve our clients to the best of his ability. He’s constantly redefining his best so that he can best serve and give to our clients. Jeremy’s greatest accomplishment personally is his family. He has raised four beautiful children, who are all amazing young adults.

What's something that the other has really helped you with, outside of your working relationship?

House: To slow down and enjoy the ride. He always does a great job of making sure I keep my perspective.

Luchau: To be honest, I think we’ve helped each other grow personally more than professionally. We’ve been through the mud together and leaned on each other more times than I can count. He’s always listened and not judged.

Why do you guys work so well together?

Luchau: I feel like we are the true definition of Yin and Yang we found out early that a lot of the stuff he enjoys about the business, I didn’t, and the things he didn’t, I did. Throughout the 10 years or so working together we’ve made each other stronger in our areas of weakness.

House: We work well together because we are best friends. It’s easy to put the long hours in every day when you’re doing it with the people that you love the most. We’ve been through so much together over the years and it’s really strengthened our bond.

What do you think the other values most about you?

House: That’s a tough one, I would say honesty. I believe we have a great relationship all these years because of trust and honesty. We always have each other's best interest at heart and that type of selflessness is what has been a staple in our friendship.

Luchau: My honesty I’m never afraid to tell him my truth or feelings on a subject. I’m not a yes man and I challenge him. It’s not always pretty, but it’s fair.

What's something the other doesn't get enough credit for?

Luchau: His hard work and his sacrifice I believe people take a lot of shortcuts in the business and they see his (our) success as a company now and try to find “reasons” as to why we are where we are at. They didn’t see him sleeping on hotel room floors for five or six years straight.

House: His ability to develop talent and choose the right fights for our clients.

Where do you see the other in five years?

House: In five years, I see Jeremy watching his son Jace make his MMA debut, which I imagine will give him a few grey hairs (laughs). In all seriousness, in five years, Jeremy will rightfully be recognized as one of the best agents in the business.

Luchau: I hope at his son’s little league game.
