Team Iridium leaves UFC Vegas 47 with four victories and three $50,000 bonuses

LAS VEGAS — Four Iridium Sports Agency clients earned impressive victories at UFC Vegas 47 on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Bryan “Pooh Bear” Battle advanced to 3-0 in the UFC with a unanimous decision victory over Tresean Gore in their middleweight clash. With the win, Bryan improved to 7-1, not including his season-winning, 2-0 run on The Ultimate Fighter.

John “Sexi Mexi” Castaneda earned his second straight victory in the Octagon with a third-round, technical submission over Miles Johns. John is now 19-5 after back-to-back stoppage wins in the UFC's bantamweight division.

Julian “Juicy J” Erosa dug deep to notch a decision victory over Steven Peterson, who missed weight for their featherweight matchup. The victory was Julian’s fifth in the UFC, improving his record to 27-9. Julian earned a pair of $50,000 fight night bonuses for his efforts.

Speaking of $50,000 bonuses, Chidi “Bang Bang” Njokuani took one home for his spectacular, 16-second knockout over Marc-Andre Barriault in his UFC debut at 185 pounds. That was Chidi’s third straight win, propelling him to 21-7 (1 NC).

Five Team Iridium clients enter the Octagon Saturday

LAS VEGAS — Five Iridium Sports Agency clients are back in the UFC's Octagon at UFC Vegas 47 on Saturday in Las Vegas.

After winning TUF 28, Bryan "Pooh Bear" Battle tries to improve to 2-0 in his post-TUF career when he takes on Tresean Gore in the middleweight division. Bryan brings a 6-1 record into battle, not including his 2-0 run in the TUF house. All but two of his victories are by stoppage.

John "Sexi Mexi" Castaneda looks for his second straight UFC win against Miles Johns in the bantamweight division. John is 19-5 heading into fight night, with eight wins by KO and five by submission.

Julian "Juicy J" Erosa goes for his second straight, and fifth overall, UFC victory against Steven Peterson in the featherweight division. Julian is 26-9, with 11 wins by knockout and 12 by submission.

Chidi "Chidi Bang Bang" Njokuani makes his highly anticipated UFC debut against Marc-Andre Barriault in the middleweight division. Chidi earned a UFC contract last year on Contender Series after a successful tenure with Bellator. Chidi is 20-7 with 12 knockout victories.

Jason "The Vanilla Gorilla" Witt takes aim at his second straight, and third overall, UFC victory against Philip Rowe in the welterweight division. A win Saturday will be the 20th of his career, improving him to 20-7.

Three Team Iridium clients ready to roll at Bellator 273

LAS VEGAS — Three Iridium Sports Agency clients are ready to make waves in the Bellator MMA cage at Bellator 273 on Saturday in Phoenix, AZ.

In the Co-Main Event on Showtime, Benson Henderson enters the cage for the 40th time against Islam Mamedov in the lightweight division. Benson’s stellar MMA resume includes four successful UFC World Lightweight Championship bouts and three successful championship outings under the World Extreme Cagefighting banner. A win will be the sixth of Benson’s Bellator tenure.

Also on the Showtime broadcast is Henry “OK” Corrales, who hunts for his 20th career victory against Aiden Lee in the featherweight division. A victory will be his second straight, and the eighth of Henry’s impressive run with Bellator.

Earlier on the card, top prospect Sullivan Cauley tries to improve to 3-0 against Ben Parrish in the light-heavyweight division. Both of the former Arizona State wrestler’s victories as a pro have come by first-round stoppage.
